This post is just a post to let you know about some of the problems I’ve been having with Rocky Road. I will be very short and sweet on this so pay attention.
On 17 January, 2004 I purchased an OTT 2.5" Lift kit from Rocky Road on Ebay with Buy It Now, $219.00. 1 minute after the purchase, I paid with PayPal. Easy process, I’m an excellent customer with a 100% positive feedback rating. Easy deal right? Wrong…
On 25 January I write Rocky Road Outfitters and email asking the status of the order. I received about 30 bounced replies form their email server saying that they were over their email limit and the mailbox was full, try again later. So I tried again on the 27th. Rock Road finally responded with “We cannot check the status of your order based on an e-mail, so you need to call in or send us the exact name on your PayPal account so we can check it out.” No problem, I replied the next day with my PayPal information so they could “verify” who I was and check the order. On 30 January, I receive another e-mail stating the same thing. This time form a guy named Glenn Wakefield. "Cannot process this request unless you submit your PayPal data. Once again, I submit the data to Rock Road and wait a week…no response…
This process as mentioned above takes place three times…same as above, with no info, just running in circles…round and round…no answers…
Finally, after 4 attempts with failure and waiting well over three weeks, I sent a note to Rock Road stating “I will have to leave negative feedback, I am sorry, but its been almost a month and I have no product, nor do I have any Idea if the kit even shipped.”
This morning, 10 February, I receive the below reply from Glenn stating that they were waiting on PolyColi spacers to be shipped from the manufacturer and couldnt ship my order until today. WHAT The heck??? Why couldnt he have stated that before? And I though RockyRoad made all of their own parts? Waiting on the manufacturer? I though you guys were the manufacturer? Anyway, it gets better…
Glenn stated (see below message I copied in) that if I leave negative feedback, he will respond with negative feedback. That the “Policy” of RockyRoad is to leave “like” feedback to Ebay customers. So BEWARE, if you are a good customer on Ebay with RockyRoad and they are a bad seller, which in this case is apparant, they will leave you negative feedbacy ANYWAY, just BECAUSE…what the fu__ is that? I am furios and will never purchase another thing there…ever.
