Jeep AC Cold but Not as Cold – Possible Leak or Something Else?

Hello everyone…

I’m new here and hoping for some advice. I have a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I’ve noticed that the AC is not as cold as it used to be. It’s still cool, but maybe only about 70% as cold as it was when I first got the vehicle.

The AC performance hasn’t been getting worse over time, so I’m not sure if this is a sign of a refrigerant leak or if there might be another issue at play. I’ve had other cars where a leak was obvious, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas on what might be causing this?

It sounds like your A/C system has a leak. You can purchase seal kits and recharge cans to refill your system, which are relatively inexpensive. However, it is important to address the leak before recharging the system, as refilling it without fixing the leak will only lead to the same problem. Fortunately, leaks typically occur in a few specific areas, so replacing the seals on the compressor, which are included in the kit, should resolve the issue.

The A/C in my Jeep seemed to be working, but it was not as cold as it should be. I had a professional check it out and they discovered a leak in the system. After repairing the leak and recharging the A/C, the temperature was much colder.
