Hi everyone, I am about to begin assembling the components and materials needed to build a roof hoist for my garage. Is there anyone who knows the hardtop’s weight? I want to make sure that the pulleys and eyebolts I employ are adequate.

The top only weighs about 125-150lbs, I can get under and lift it by myself, but that is stupid, just get a friend and you will have no problem

No, it weighs more than 150 pounds. It weighs a lot:laugh: I can turtle it on my back too, but I’m willing to bet it weighs around 200 to 250. I don’t know, get a trucker scale and measure the Jeep with it and without it and then look at the difference.

The basic hardware for YJ half doors includes upper door frames and the soft top frame. If you find a set of YJ full steel doors, they’ll only work with a hard top or a TJ soft top. The easiest way is to buy a complete top and hardware from Quadratech; just make sure you get half door uppers and frames. You might also find someone selling everything on Craigslist.
