Anyone tried 35's on a setup like this?

Is anyone running 35’s on a setup similar to mine? I’ve got an 8.8 in the back, 1.5-inch body lift, and 2-inch suspension. Drive shaft angles are conservative with the sm420 since it’s so short, so I can add more spring if needed.

Yep, I’m running 35’s on a 2-inch lift with highline front fenders. Works just fine for me.

Good to know! That’s what I was hoping for. Thanks!

I’m on 35’s too, with highline fenders and no lift. No major problems except a bit of sway bar rubbing now and then.

I use 35’s with a 2.5-inch AEV lift, and it gives me plenty of flex without hitting the fenders.

Would you go for that size again? Seems like a nice balance.

Absolutely. I run this setup every time I hit the trails. It’s not too high, so stability’s solid, and I don’t need a ladder to get in. It’s also not too low, so I don’t smash into things unless I’m really pushing it. The clearance is great, plenty of air-down space, and I get good grip with the wide tread. I’m using 4.5-inch backspace on Procomp wheels, so it feels wider on uneven trails. 10/10, I’d go with it again.

Five tires… all the way.

Go for 40’s!

Also, get a better lift kit… Rough Country isn’t great. Why advertise on your rig that you’re running cheap parts?

I bought it like this, and it doesn’t bother me much. No clue what lift is actually on it since it’s built with all kinds of random parts, plus the 8.8 swap and sm420.

The unwritten rule: never let anyone know you’ve got Rough Country or Rubicon Express on there. True Jeep fans would give you a hard time!

The previous owner had some odd choices but went with solid hardware, so I don’t really mind. Though I did remove the ‘Blue Rhino’ sticker off the windshield; that was a bit much.

@Remy
Haha, just giving you a hard time.
