What do you need to swap a 2002 jeep wrangler tj engine from a 4 to a 6 cylinder?

Hey guys, got a quick question. I’ve got a 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ with a 2.5L 4-banger, and I’m wondering what I’d need to swap out to put in a 6-cylinder engine.

Do I need new engine mounts, radiator, etc.?

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks!

I feel your pain with the 2.5L 4-banger, buddy. If you’re really looking to upgrade the engine, I’d say skip the 6-cylinder and go straight for a V8 or a Hemi. That’d be a serious upgrade!

Or would it be alot easier to just buy a TJ with a six already in it. That said if I’m gonna swap do a V8 or something…!
What do you think about that?
