U1411 code jeep

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to say that this is my first Jeep, and I’m absolutely loving it!

However, I encountered an issue last night while driving. All the indicator lights on the dash suddenly illuminated and then went out, except for the check engine light, which stayed on.

This morning, the check engine light was still on, so I went to AutoZone where they pulled the Code U1411. Upon researching online, I discovered that this is referred to as an Implausible Fuel Volume Signal.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with this particular issue?

Additionally, I’m facing problems with my blower motor selector switch. It only seems to work on full blast. I already tried changing the resistor, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Interestingly, I noticed that two of the terminals on the connector appear to be slightly burnt.

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Here’s my 2 cents:
The U1411 code shows up when the computer in your car doesn’t get the fuel level info it’s supposed to. This usually happens because of a problem with the wiring or a broken part inside the fuel tank called the sending unit. Usually, it’s just the sending unit that’s the issue.

To fix it, you’d have to lower the fuel tank and take out the fuel pump module. The sending unit is connected to the fuel pump module, but you can replace it separately without changing the whole fuel pump assembly.

  1. Gather info: Search online for your specific car model and “U1411 code repair” to see difficulty level and replacement instructions. There might even be helpful videos! “https://www.jeepgarage.org/threads/u1411-p0157-what-do-i-need-to-fix-these.20994/
  2. Consider the fix: If you’re comfortable working with tools and following detailed instructions, replacing the sending unit yourself can save on labor costs.
  3. Know your limits: If the process seems complex or you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to take your car to a mechanic. Their expertise can ensure the job is done right and avoid any complications.
