How do I connect my phone to my '98 Jeep Cherokee for music?

I have a '98 Jeep Cherokee and want to connect my phone for music, but I don’t want to replace the stereo or deal with wiring. I’ve heard about Bluetooth adapters for older cars, but I’m not sure which one would work best. Any recommendations?

Get an FM transmitter. It’s a simple way to play music from your phone through the radio.

What kind of radio do you have in it? If it’s got a cassette player, those cassette adapters work well. I use one in my ‘99 truck, and it’s been solid for years. If not, Bluetooth FM transmitters are an option. You just connect your phone via Bluetooth and tune your car radio to the transmitter’s frequency. One downside though is some FM transmitters get interference from local stations, so check reviews before buying.

I’ve got a '99 XJ and use a Bluetooth transmitter from Amazon. You plug it into the cigarette lighter, and it connects to the factory radio without any hassle. Works well for music and calls.

You can go with either a cassette to AUX adapter or a Bluetooth FM transmitter. Both will work, just depends on what setup you prefer.
