It cost me about $2200 to have that main seal done.
If you really think it’s the main seal, it might actually be the upper oil pan seal. But the lower one looks dry.
It’s probably your oil pan gasket. Wipe it dry and try to find where the leak is coming from, but I’d bet it’s the oil pan gasket.
Mine’s a 09. My valve covers leak and drip down the back of the engine, dripping off the bell housing like that. My upper and lower oil pan gaskets were leaking too, and it dripped off that spot.
What year is it, and how many miles does it have?
It could be the oil filter housing on top of the motor leaking down the back. I just replaced mine.
It’s hard to say. Maybe your filter housing cracked from over-tightening the filter.
