Found this wire on my 2003 TJ and not sure what it’s for… maybe lights? Just want to be sure.

Looks like it’s probably for fog lights, especially with where it’s located.
Thanks! But is it weird that I don’t have a fog light button inside the cab?

If it’s anything like my 05 LJ, you might find it by pulling out on the light switch on the steering column. I rewired mine recently. If you want an affordable upgrade, plug-and-play KC lights on Quadratec work great.
@Lyle
Wow, I had no idea the switch pulls out. My Jeep came without fog lights, but I can see the wiring. And I noticed the green light stays on at the top left of the dash, even when the Jeep’s off.
Most likely for fog lights.

The fogs should turn on by gently pulling out the end of the multiswitch.
@Maxwell
You might need to switch to the second light setting first; most cars don’t let you turn on fogs when the main lights are off.

It’s often cheaper to make a single harness for all options instead of different harnesses for every setup. Chrysler does this a lot.
Maybe you got the hidden machine gun upgrade?

…or a bazooka, who knows!
@Wilkie
Exactly, it’s often easier and cheaper to have one full wiring bundle rather than different setups.
This is for my 2003 TJ. There are actually two wires. Thinking it might be for lights, but not positive.

Probably fog lights. Try turning on your lights and then gently pull out the end of the light switch. You could use a volt meter on the wires to see if they’re powered.
Definitely looks like fog light wiring.
If you check the bumper, you might see a mark where the fog light used to be.
Yep, looks like a fog light plug.
Probably for fog lights. If you check the stock fog light spot on the bumper, you might see a bit of rust around where the fog light was.
Looks like it could be used for connecting lights.
Most likely factory wiring for a fog light setup.
Looks like it might’ve been built on a Friday or Monday. Quality control at Chrysler isn’t always the best!
