This might have taken others less time, but I sandblasted and acid-etched the entire frame, then painted it with two coats of rust inhibitor. I also sanded the frame and used truck bed paint with pigment on the body. I replaced the body panels, bumpers, fenders, liners, headlights, fog lights, and marker lights. I rebuilt the fender flares, cold air intake, and a lot of the electrical system. I added a 2 1/2 inch lift, new exhaust manifolds, some used wheels, and Mickey Thompson Bajas (35’s).
This Jeep is part of a volunteer project in our local community where we help senior citizens who can’t afford to hire someone to plow their driveways and still want to live in their homes. It’s important for visiting nurses to get in, and for owners to be able to get out for supplies or in case of an emergency. So, we shovel and snowblow driveways and walkways for them. This was my first project like this, and I had a lot of fun doing it. Plus, my girlfriend didn’t leave me, so that’s a win lol.
