Hi there, fellow owners of Jeeps.
As soon as I purchased my brand-new 2015 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7L Hemi, I registered on this community.
The vehicle has 620 miles on it and is only 12 days old.
When I switch from Drive to Park or from Park to Reverse, I have already observed a jerk.
When I stop at a light and the transmission shifts from second to first, there is also a jerk.
The dealer claims it should be resolved by updating the Transmission Control Module.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is it currently posing a challenge?

I had the dealer perform the TCM update as recommended. It did help improve the smoothness of the shifts, but it did not completely eliminate the jerking.
Sometimes, manufacturers issue TSBs for common issues. It might be worth asking the dealer if there are any TSBs related to your transmission problem.
